The following foods have been scientifically proven to have beneficial effects on the working brain and memory.
Very recently, the following report has appeared in a number of newspapers.
“Pre-clinical testing found the lion's mane mushroom had a significant impact on the growth of brain cells and improving memory.”
Note however, that it is only lion’s mane mushrooms that appear to have the necessary ‘magic’ ingredient.
In addition, the following foods have also been proven good for the memory.
● Green tea
● Fish, especially salmon
● Eggs
● Nuts
● Green vegetables, especially spinach and broccoli
● Apples
● Berries, especially blackberries, blueberries, strawberries and raspberries
● Sweet Potatoes

CHAMPAGNE! - scientists at Reading University suggested that drinking one to three glasses of champagne a week may counteract the memory loss associated with ageing and could help delay the onset of degenerative brain disorders, such as dementia. Champagne has relatively high levels of phenolics deriving from the two red grapes, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier and it is these phenolic compounds which are believed to be responsible for the beneficial effects of champagne on the brain
